Travelled to Uzbekistan with a close Modern School friend. One of my most eventful trips with Anil Chauhan at his best. We went to Samarkand (Silk Route) Namangan and Andhejan (Babar was born here). 11 days of madness.
We were Shown extreme courtesy by Mr Sharaf Mirza (a close friend of Anil Chauhan).
Two other friends we made there were Anwar Jaan and Ahmed Jaan.
We actually went to buy film rights but ended up with fun throughout.
Sadly, while I write this, Anil Chauhan has passed away and not a month goes by without remembering this great man and an extraordinary friend. He is the one with the hat. We were neighbours at Rajpur Road when we were students.
